11. Need business photos? What is the right photo session for me?

Branding Shoot or Headshot session, that’s the question!

The answer? Well,... it depends!

The first step after I receive such an inquiry from a customer is to schedule a phone call, so that I can properly understand what the needs are.

I do ask a lot of questions that will help you get clarity on exactly what you want. Here is a short description of two types of business shoots.

Headshot portraits are from the upper body only
They are usually taken in my studio (although there is an option to take them on-location as well).
On sessions like this, the focus is on you. We will shoot a variety of poses, but photos are looking directly into the camera.
We can use some basic styling techniques to help transport your brand. For example by using colors, clothing, or jewelry that represents your personal brand.

Although we will take some Headshots during the branding session as well, the focus here is to capture a wider variety of Lifestyle photos.
We capture photos “in action” or on-the-job, images that help us tell the story of what you are about.
The images can also be full-body or close-ups on specific areas of your work. For example, if you are doing Therapy with horses, we might need to capture the entire scene or if you are a Massage Therapist we might need to get some close-ups on your hands.
We capture the environment, to give potential clients an idea of where and how you work.
It helps communicate your Brand Message through images.
Through the use of a relevant location and props (Requisiten), we help the customers transport themselves and tell a story with visuals.
I’ve done these types of sessions in the studio if a client needs a set-up they can’t recreate anywhere else, BUT they are mostly done on-location.
